William Noyes III (b. 1792) was the son of William Noyes, Jr., Esq. the man responsible for commissioning Samuel Belcher to build what is now the Florence Griswold House. Martin also painted portraits of William III's sister, Abigail Leverett Noyes, and grandparents, Judge William Noyes and Eunice Marvin Noyes.
