E. Maxwell Albert

(August 1, 1890–N.D.) In Lyme: c. 1908 -
E. Maxwell Albert was born on August 1, 1890. He was the son of Ernest Albert, with whom he often painted. He studied at the Art Students League of New York. He was awarded prizes at the New Rochelle Art Association in 1921,1922, and 1923. He spent his summers in Old Lyme from 1908. He was a member of the Allied Artists of America, the Salmagundi Club, the Lyme Art Association, and the New Rochelle Art Association.
