Howard Hilder

Howard Hilder studied at the Academie Julien in Paris with Bouguereau and Ferrier in 1900. He also studied in Paris with Dagnan-Bouvert, De la Gandara, and Jacque. And in Holland with Bock and J. Israels.
He exhibited and won a medal at the National Academy of Design in 1906, at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1916, and in Palm Beach before his death in 1935. He was known for painting murals and his work can be seen at St. Stephens Church in Coconut Ggrove, Fl, the YWCA in Miami, and Rollins College in Winter park, FL. HIs signature sometimes appears as G. Howard Hilder.
