Rosamond Niles was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1881. She studied at the Art Students League and in Paris with Andre L’Hote. She was a member of the National Association of Women Artists, the National Academy of Design, Southern States Art League, and National Arts Club.

She exhibited at the Salons of America, 1934.

Her work is in the Witte Memorial Museum, Randolph Aviation Field, Woodberry Forest School, Chatham School, Virginia, and the Radcliffe Hicks Memorial School, Tolland, Connecticut.
