Ede-Else was born Elsie Miller in 1894. She was a student at the Art Students' League in New York City. She exhibited at the Salons of America 1922-24, with the Society of Independent Artists from 1922 to 1944, with the Essex Art Association from 1951 to 1958, and with the Lyme Art Association, as well as many others. She was married to the artist, Frederick Buchholz. She died in Old Lyme, Connecticut in 1984.
