Lephe Holden studied at the Art Students' League and with Guy Wiggins and Dwight Tryon. She was a member of the Silvermine Guild, the Connecticut Water Colorists, the Lyme Art Association, and the National Association of Women Artists, with whom she exhibited in 1936 through 1938 and 1940 to 1946.
She exhibited regularly with the Lyme Art Association from 1938 to 1955. She later was an instructor at Guy Wiggins art school in Essex, Connecticut.
