Guy A. Wiggins was the son of Guy C. Wiggins with whom he studied in his early years. He also studied at the Corcoran School of Art in 1968 and 1969, at the Art Students' League, and at the National Academy of Design.
In 1976, after retiring from the U.S. Foreign Service, Wiggins began to paint professionally. His subjects include cityscapes, still lifes, and country scenes.He is a frequent lecturer at art museums and art clubs nationally.
