Zeimann studied at the Albright Art School and Yale University where he received a B.F.A. and M.F.A.. He was the supervisor of graphics workshops in Graphics Arts USA, an exhibit touring the Soviet Union in 1963 and 1964. He was artist-in-residence at Dartmouth College in 1971, and professor of art at Hunter College in New York City.
