An English, earthenware plate with a red transfer-print decoration showing a biblical scene, the Tomb of Absalom. The plate has a scalloped rim.

Condition: Crack in rim 2 in., staining

Red transfer-printed decoration of seated figures at a tomb with distant buildings and mountains, other figures under a palm tree in well; rim and cavetto with transfer-printed decoration of floral medallions with botanical geometric border; scalloped edge.
