An Empire-style sofa with a mahogany wood frame and upholstered seat, arms and back. It has boldly carved arms in the shape of corucopias filled with fruit and leaves. The backrest is carved with a winged-fish motif. The legs have pawed feet and knees of acanthus leaves and fruit. It is probably from the New London area.
