An English Delftware punch bowl. It has a blue, tin glazed decoration. The outside of the bowl has floral sprays with a cross-hatched border along the rim. The inside is inscribed, "May Brittains Arms Successfull Prove then healths weel Drink to those we love." Probably in commemoration of Britain's participation in the Seven Years' War It was once owned by Thomas Anderson (1710-1761), a British army surgeon who settled in Lyme.
