A brass wax jack with 3 ball feet riveted through the shallow pan which forms the base. A ribbed central post around which the wax was wound is held upright by an iron screw. The top brass plate is cut to allow the wax to pass through to a scissor-like iron clamp. The iron clamp has a serrated edge and geometrically decorated handle. A brass finial is screwed on to the top.
