This papier-mache doll carried a basket of wares including books, socks, and purses. Pedlar dolls were not usually intended as playthings, but rather to be looked at and admired. This doll is wearing a blue dress with black velvet trim, a white apron, and a black cape. Her bonnet is black with blue velvet trim. It has a sawdust-filled body and wooden hands.
