A sealskin coat with a wide collar and lapel. It was relined with brown satin. It has black crocheted buttons and loops. The jacket belonged to Charlotte Hine Stanley (b. 1823) of New Britain, CT and was part of her wedding trouseau. It later belonged to her grand-daughter, Margaret Stanley of Pittsfield, Mass. Sold from a stor ein Hartford, Connecticut.
