Portrait of George Chadwick in his Yale football turtleneck sweater holding a ball. He graduated from Yale in 1902 with numerous football honors. Chadwick was born in 1911, son of Charles Noyes Chadwick. He attended the Froebel Academy in Brooklyn, NY, which his father had founded. He later became a trustee. He was a WWI army captain, sales manager ofr Barrett maufacturing Company, and editor in Washington for the Red Cross magazine. He taught school at the Kent School (CT), Wilbraham Academy (MA) and the Storm King School (NY). He died in Old Lyme in 1961.
