An English stoneware "scratched blue" pitcher with a molded medallion and the letters "GR" and the picture of the king. It has a ribbon neck and a lizard tail handle. The mouth of the pitcher is round with no lip, possible identifying it as a mug, rather than a pitcher.
The "GR" probably stands for Georgius Rex and was made in Fulham, England. The Fulham drinking mug was created by John Dwight as an imitation of Cologne wares from before 1671.
