Original canvas not relined. A view looking down toward a distant body of water. The late 18th century Harding farmhouse dominates the center of the landscape and casts a soft spring light over it. At the right is an ancient sugar maple and other trees are at the left. In the far distance beyond the water scattered houses are to be seen. The painting retains its original gold-leaf Boston frame.
