A black wool tabby ground rug with designs in two-ply wool. The center of the design is a vase of flowers, initialed E.H. (probably Elizabeth Harris of Sag Harbor, sister of George Harris). On each side is a spray of flowers and a bird on a branch.
The edges are trimmed with card woven wool fringe.
