Zetterstrom took this photo on a day in which he was snowshoeing in a blizzard. Was actually dark by by the time he took the photo, but the snow makes it look as though it's daytime. Sense of isolation, but could use your cell phone there (unlike the poor Donner party!). Speaks to the tradition of naturalist photographers in the West (Watkins, Ansel Adams, etc.)
