A view of the parlor of the Griswold House . Paintings like this one give us clues as to how the house was once furnished. Among the furnishings are an Empire style table, a Chippendale chair, and a roccoco sofa. The table lamp is owned by the Museum and is on display in the Miss Florence's bedroom. There is a fire in the fireplace. The painting is dedicated to Miss Florence.
