View of Noank Harbor with Industrial Buildings to the right and lighthouse in the distance, painted on a grey day
This painting of Noank Harbor, recalls Ranger’s Dutch Harbor, in the permanent collection. The continuity of subject matter suggests influence Dutch painting had on Ranger—very much a part of his aesthetic sensibility. This painting was formerly in the collection of the Everson Museum Art located in Syracuse, NY and was deaccessioned in 1972. This work is inscribed with inventory number 266. Ranger hired a personal collection manager to catalogue his work.
