A charcoal figure study of a cast of a Classical sculpture wearing a helmet, completed while Bruestle was a student at the National Academy of Design in the Preparatory class. Stamped at top: "Antique on Probation" and signed and dated at lower left. Part of 85 sketches by George and Bertram Bruestle including landscapes, portraits, figurative, and architectural. They were retrieved from the Bruestle house in Lyme after Mrs. Bruestle's death in 1997.
