The page from Burr's sketchbook has drawings on both sides. The front shows a road with a high embankment winding towards a mountain. The mark in the lower right corner reads: Capri 22 01. Verso shows a rear view of a man wearing a high collared jacket and wide brimmed hat. His hands are clasped behind his back. There is a detail of the hat sketched lightly in the upper left corner.
