An English earthenware mug decorated with a blue oriental motif. The rim has a crude cross-hatched band. The mug has suffered past damage and has been poorly repaired.

Cylindrical, thin walled piece, same width all around. The mouth/opening is about 4". Large, curved handle on one side. Numerous cracks and breaks at the top which have been repaired, obvious glue drips on the interior. A fairly detailed painted scene wraps around the entirety of the piece, painted with cobalt blue glaze, decorative painted band around the upper edge as well. The handle also has light painted detail. The clear coat glaze is cracked and worn. The bottom of the piece has a small rectangular tag, orange and brown in color with large black numbers, 312, in the center.
