Small drawing. Black ink on ivory paper, done with hatching and cross hatching. Depicts a seated woman in a high-back chair, seated next to a window, peering off into the distance. The sitter is wearing a floor length dress with a small purse hung around her forearm, appears to be knitting, a shawl is draped around her arms, hair is pulled back, 3/4 view of her face. Heavy light and shadow. Thick wood frame, about 1 3/4" wide, raised edges, black and metallic gold bands with dark brown stained wood. Minimal staining and discoloration to the paper. Chadwick's signature is in the lower right corner, dated '99. Hung on the west wall to the left of the windows.
