Munro Leaf's character of Ferdinand the Bull (who preferred flowers to fighting) as interpreted by Walt Disney. Strung legs and neck with fuzzy tasseled tail and flower in mouth. Brown and flesh colored with insect stenciled on hind quarter. Made of rigid synthetic. Leaf's book was published in 1936. The character's wide appeal led to his reproduction on numerous consumer products, especially after the release of Disney's animated short film about Ferdinand in 1938,
