A man's cane made of wood with acrook handle. There is a 1 inch solid 14 kt gold band inset below the handle. It is initialed "WCN," for Walter Chadwick Noyes (1865-1926)
Judge Walter Chadwick Noyes was born in 1865 and died in 1926. He married Luella Armstrong in 1895. He attended the Academy in Old Lyme and entered Cornell University. In 1883 he began the study of law with his uncle Hon. Daniel Chadwick in New London and was admitted to the bar. He was elected Judge of the Court of Common Pleas from 1895-1907. He was appointed circuit court judge in 1907.
