Squat, bulbous, thick walled, thrown, ceramic piece. The mouth/opening is about 2.75" with a short, thin lip. Appears to have once had a removeable circular lid/cover due to the fact that the glaze does not extend all the up the lip. Wide upper gradually tapers at the bottom. The exterior is glazed with a very light blue background with a cobalt blue Asian inspired, provincial painted scene. The piece appears to have been broken in half at one time and repaired, numerous large cracks.
